in Upper Midwest Studies
Books, Research Studies, Case Statements, White Papers, Editorial
Regional Research Associates was founded in
1993 to respond to clients' need to better understand a unique region
in the United States through its history, sociology,
demographics, sustainable community and environmental change and
development, business and property
shift and growth, retail and corporate adaptation and
reconfiguration.
Deborah Morse-Kahn, M.A. is founder
and director of RRA, and partners with specialists in a broad range of
expertise: corporate and government agency consultants; field
historians and sociologists; engineers, geographers
and geologists; publishers and editors; academic and faculty advisors;
social service and arts organizations;
development and grant management specialists; and
professional research groups.
RRA can respond
to client
needs for local or regional studies, conference development on Upper
Midwest issues, and for publications development
(concept to
print) for a wide range of audiences, including the full range of
editorial services for government agencies and nonprofits. Our
specializations include Case
Statements for fund campaigns, Books
for Section 106 historic preservation mitigation projects, and White Papers for corporate clients.
RRA offers the only specialized professional consultation services
available on
the Older
Order Amish communities of the Upper
Midwest, including presentations,
training and conference development for local and county medical,
social service, emergency, public safety and
courts personnel, to enable better understanding of the culture and
beliefs of the 'Plain Peoples' of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa.
Work of this kind
is
by nature
collaborative. Many
skilled individuals, professional groups, and educational and community
organizations have served as supportive partners in RRA projects over
the years.
We would be delighted to connect
you with
specialists in
the
many areas of cultural resource studies, in community change and
development,
and in publications planning.
The life of the Upper Midwest -- political,
social, environmental and
cultural -- is a never-ending story. Please let us know how we can be
of
help to you: it is our privilege to contribute to the Midwest's
community through conferences, programs and publications .
